Posted on | June 17, 2015 | No Comments

Hey dads, did you know that Father’s Day was made official over 50 years after Mother’s Day? In 1914, President Woodrow Wilson issued a proclamation asking Americans to honor moms by celebrating Mother’s Day. In 1966, President Lyndon B. Johnson issued the first presidential proclamation commemorating the third Sunday in June as Father’s Day. In 1972 President Richard M. Nixon signed a law making Father’s Day a permanent holiday. So it looks like we all have a lot of celebrating and Father’s Day events to catch up on America!

So start by hitting a home run on Father’s Day! Take dad out to a ball game and buy him some peanuts and Cracker Jack at a Major League Baseball game this Father’s Day weekend.
